Bright Field Notes
This is an online diary chronicling my adventures. It archives my attempts to live as happily and stylishly as possible while dealing with chronic illness and pain. It’s not always easy, and sometimes I feel like a science experiment, but I try to stay positive and motivated. I plan to live an extraordinary life… faulty collagen or no.
I’m Scottish – born and raised in the rural north. I moved to London to work for a very large entertainment company in production/creative services. I studied at both the University of Glasgow and the National Film and Television School. I specialise in script editing and story development. I was classically trained as an actress.
I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Pernicious Anemia, and dysautonomia. I talk about them because they affect my life quite a bit. My fancy cardiologist and rheumatologist agreed a low-carb eating plan was best for me, so I said goodbye to pizza. D’:
Writing, and reading, keeps me sane. I knew I wanted to work in the entertainment industry when I saw Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I once heard Joss Whedon speak about his career in person at BAFTA and teared up.
There are too many to list them all…
